Double Trouble

The Red Sox grounded into two more double plays in the first four innings tonight, running their total to six in the first two games of this series with the Orioles. The Red Sox are on a pace to ground into 181 double plays this season. The 1990 Red Sox set the major-league record with 174.

GG:

Went to the game last night and it was so boring. If not for the obnoxious drunk guys behind me, I could have fallen asleep. Course most of the action was in the first inning, which I missed. But Fenway has developed a mall culture which I do not like. Every five seconds someone is getting up to get a beer, frank, ice cream, popcorn, can't they sit down for a few innings? Sooooooooooo distracting. This doesn't happen at the Garden w/ the Celts.

Couldn't agree more. A Sox game is more like a social night than a sporting event nowadays. I knew this would happen once they started selling pink hats!
