Paul Pierce finished the half with 26 points, and the Boston Celtics defense has held Cleveland to 40 points.

LeBron James has 23 of their points on 7-of-15 shooting. No one else for the Cavaliers has more than four points.

Pierce did take a hard spill on the floor with less than a minute left in the half, but he returned to take free throws following a timeout. Kevin Garnett had nine rebounds at the half, and James Posey and Eddie House have been giving Boston solid minutes off the bench.
