Shortstop Julio Lugo, who missed the last five games with a mild concussion suffered when he was kicked in the head during a play at second base in Minnesota, returns to the Red Sox lineup tonight. Lugo is hitting .285 with nine RBI but has made 11 errors.
The Brewers, who moved from the American to the National League after the last expansion, are making their first visit to Fenway Park since 1997, their last season in the AL.
The tarp was on the field all afternoon, and it is raining lightly less than an hour before gametime.
