Vs.

Glenn Murray gave the Bruins the 2-1 lead just 1:14 into the second period on a beautiful feed from Marc Savard.
Mike Comrie tied the game just about five minutes later.
Mark Stuart is not only fighting for a spot on the big club; he took on Bill Guerin for the second fight of the game.
Fernandez is back in net for the Bruins for the third period along with DiPietro for the Islanders.

Why oh why does the NHL have some teams still playing exhibition games while the Ducks and Kings have played 2 REGULAR SEASON games in London?

Wait, wait. How come you didn't mention the final score, and the fact that Satan won the game?

How come Satan doesn't play for the Devils?

Gayle - I found my answer as to why Minard was not resigned.
Believe he was brought in at Scott Gomez' request after they played and had good chemistry together on the Alaska Aces during the lockout season. With Gomez leaving for the Rangers that favor may was deemed by upper management as no longer necessary.

Sorry to double-post.
Teddy, if you check the 1993 Entry Draft,
http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl1993e.html
you'll see a few pretty big successes on the list ahead of Miroslav Satan, who went in the 5th round. Then again, New Jersey picked Denis Pederson, Jay Pandolfo, Brendan Morrison, Krzysztof Oliwa, and John Guirestante before Satan was picked by Edmonton. Pandolfo seems to have been their gem in that lot and Guirestante their bust. So why'd they pass up the guy with the perfect name? Was it too cute to be true?
Anyway, Satan will be a UFA at the end of this season. Maybe Lou could pick him up for a spare $4.25 Million next time he wants a Right Wing.

Gayle I commend you for doing your best to trying to get fans back into the Bruins and Hockey, but at least this season anyway thats going to be a Very Hard thing to get accomplished! Boston right now is more like a three team sports town Sorry Bruins thats just the way it is....

I think Teddy was merely referring to the fact that "Satan" just sounds like he was born to play for the Devils. With the complete lack of backchecking that the guy displays he'd never fit in unless he were to change his style of play. Although Alex Mogilny played there for a while so I guess anything is possible.
Minard was their purest goal scorer last year. I can't understand why they wouldn't try to keep him. They need more guys who can put the puck in the net. They already have plenty of grinders and clutch-and-grabbers on the team. Need some guys who can shoot the puck and actually score.

Terri, would you believe the game is still going on? LOL, seriously; I got side tracked having to pack up everything and run down to the locker room...

I see Minard got a natural hat trick his first regular season game as a Penguin.

I saw that. Why can't Lowell get (and keep) players like that?
