That is the word to describe Tim Thomas' performance last night.

The Bruins did not register one shot on goal in the final period of last nights 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Canucks. In fact, the Bs didn't even have one offensive zone face off.
The Canucks out skated, out hit and out shot the Bruins in the final 20 minutes and Thomas made spectacular saves.
He was named the number one star of the game making a total of 39 saves and no one deserved it more.
After giving Thomas his due props, I must take a few minutes to vent my frustrations of last nights game - and no it has nothing to do with the Bruins themselves.
George and I were sitting in section 302 last night and we unfortunately had drunken, belligerent idiots sitting in our section.
These season ticket holders, and I know that because they were the season ticket holder spotlight of the game, showed up five minutes before the game started and were already drunk.
They ruined my experience at the game because of their disgusting, degrading comments about women. I told George I had to leave, I couldn't sit there and listen to these guys for another minute - you know it's bad when I say I have to leave a Bruins game.
Anyway, George convinced me to go to Guest Relations and George had to speak for me at this point because I was crying. I was embarrassed and upset and could not believe my experience at the game was being ruined.
Now, most of you would say suck it up, but I simply couldn't and to be honest with you, I can take just about anything.
The only other time I felt horrified at a game because of other fans was when I went to Philly to see the Bs play the Flyers. Now Philadelphia fans can be nasty - let's just say when the Bruins scored a goal, I stood up and cheered. The usher came down and asked me to sit down, "I don't want to see you get hurt," he said.
But back to last night, John in guest relations would not allow us to leave. He upgraded our seats to the new Sports Deck for the final period - I just want to add AMAZING SEATS!
Christina, our waitress, was the nicest woman I have ever met. She was trying to make me feel better because I still had tears in my eyes. She gave me a bubble blower which I happily used at the Sports Grill after the game.
Speaking of the Sports Grill, I met the best Canucks fans - Colin and Emily- there.
To quote Colin "Tim Thomas stood on his head tonight." None of us could actually figure out why Roberto Luongo wasn't in net for the Canucks.
So, in the end my night was not a complete bust, but seriously folks -the moral of this story is, when you go to any sporting event just to get drunk and act like idiots do the rest of us a favor and stay home.
Anyone out there have an even worse experience than mine?
I think we get to classify last night under “A Night that Would Not Die.
I think Gayle called it when the Mutt & Jeff crew arrived during the pregame video presentation, already stankin’ (not stinking, stankin’) of booze. Gayle immediately turned to me, and said “Oh my god, I hate annoying people, its gonna be one of those nights.
These six morons would not shut up for the entire first period. They were just being rude and disgusting. I took a walk downstairs for the first intermission, and apparently, these drunken idiots just got worse.
To cut it short, I got “the look from Gayle with about 2 minutes left in the 2nd period and she said she wanted to leave. I will confirm that if Gayle wants to leave a good game after 2 periods, something is up. I did refuse to let her leave, and took her to guest relations. I have to give a lot of credit to the Garden people. They could have let us just vent, knowing the jerk that was causing the trouble was a friend of one of the fan relations people. The supervisor (John) really took charge, moving us to the SportsDeck.
Ok, I am the first to admit that I am a big boy. So when our waitress Christina came down and gave us our little treats, she made a pre-emptive comment of “I know it looks like a lollipop, but its not. I think she said that because I looked at it like Homer Simpson looks at a donut…mmmmmmmmm, candy…ughghggah. The rest of the game was great, the SportsDeck is really a great experience, and if you have cash to burn, totally worth it.
On to the Sports Grille. Here are some of the more humorous parts of the evening that Gayle is omitting. We got to the bar, and Gayle orders a beer and a glass of water. We had tried to use the bubble blowers with a bottle of water out in front of the 7-11 on Causeway St. with no luck. I think after the long night she had, Gayle was determined to have some fun. So now, within 5 minutes, there are bubbles flying around the bar, and everyone within an eye shot of us, including the bartenders, are laughing.
Then, we started having a discussion about how the players tend to go to the Sports Grille after a game to eat. Knowing that Marc Savard was one of Gayle’s favorite players, I asked her what she would do if he walked in. Well, the response wasn’t something that is family appropriate, but lets just say Gayle expressed what glee she would be filled with if Savvy had graced the bar with his presence. Sadly, none of the Bruins came in.
There is more I could write, but I think this will suffice for now. Last night was a night that had to experience to believe.
Oh yeah, Thomas played great, good way to keep the wins going.

HA HA George!
Oh, one thing we both failed to add was the fact I was saying that "Pink should be outlawed."
I'm sorry but there is a reason why no sports franchise has the color pink in their uniforms, so why is it we must have pink hats, t's and even game jerseys for the Bruins, Sox, Pats and even Celts???
Can someone please explain that one to me? Thanks

Yes, I can't explain it, but all I know is that all the vendors outside the Gahden last night knew your feelings on the issue :)

Cmon Gayle, this is an obvious "make up call". I think you are just singing Thomas' praises because you forgot all about his great performance in the previous game.(j/k) And Lady B's fan, i agree about the pink hats. Real sports fans don't wear that garbage.

It's a good thing you added the j/k after your comment BIG E - LOL.
Seriously, in the game against Ottawa Thomas made some good saves, BUT he really was over shadowed by the offense, but last night he was the reason they won. He was a quiet hero in the Ottawa game, but last night it was all about Timmy.
Maybe we should start a petition about the pink hats and such - think we can get them outlawed?
