The gentleman on the right of your screen is Drake Behrakis, a Lowell native who now lives in Sudbury, Massachusetts. He is also the winner of our Tedy Bruschi auction, submitting an extremely generous bid of $500.
The lady in the middle is Debbie Boda, the Tedy’s Team member who put the ball up for auction through the Lowell Sun’s various internet sites. Debbie was the leading fundraiser for Tedy’s Team during the 2006 Boston Marathon, collecting nearly $18,000, a total she hopes to nearly double in 2007.
(If you don’t recognize the dork on the left, tough luck!)
I just wanted to say thank you again not only to Drake and Debbie, but to everyone who got involved in the auction. Also, I’m told a lot of people who didn’t bid on the football still visited www.debbiemarathon.com and made donations there.
