The Chinese calendar lists 2006 as the year of the dog. But on TheSunBlog calendar, 2006 has been the year of The Victim.
Our pigskin prognosticator continues his dominance of the Vegas line, submitting yet another scorching effort last week. Those smart enough to accept the early Christmas presents no doubt have a few extra dollars to spend partying New Year’s Eve. Of course, if you’ve followed this fearless football forecaster all season long, you’d be 18-units ahead of the game, a record I doubt any other tout in the nation can top.
The question is; can this amazing run continue? The calendar shows only two more days remaining in the year of the dog. With 2007 lining up as the year of the pig, one can only wonder what that means for The Victim and you; more gorging at the money trough, or a return to the swill that is gambling mediocrity?
On with the picks:
NY Giants (-2 ½) over Washington
New England (+3) over Tennessee
Dallas (-12 ½) over Detroit
San Francisco (+10 ½) over Denver
Chicago (-3) over Green Bay
Last week’s record: 6-1
Season record: 51-33

I'm glad that the victim is finally red hot with his picks. He really hasn't been the same since he invested all that money into printing the "2004 Yankees World Series Champs" T-shirts. I ran into him the other day and he was positively upbeat: "36 more seasons like this and I'll be even with the bookmakers" he chortled. I really hate to bring up the fact that he touted "Sham" over "Secretariat" in the '73 Belmont Stakes:"he'll nail him at the wire" is all that I can recall The Victim saying all week. Oh, by the way, please tell Victim that the "Dukakis for President" pin he used to wear is worth some ching on E-bay.
