I'm still trying to track down the details, but Dracut Police were joined by a Lowell Police canine unit and a few other Lowell cars in a perp search between Arthur Avenue and Arlington Street right on the town line this afternoon about 4:30 p.m.
By the time I made my way through traffic to get there everyone was leaving, but I'll be making some phone calls tonight to find out what the story is.
No arrests were made as far as I know.
Does this have anything to do with the activity on Humphrey St/Pemberton St last night/early this morning between the Lowell and Dracut police???

My wife and I shall be moving to live with our son in Dracut. We have been very active in volunteering with out local PD in Littleton, NH
Our Chief of Police asked us to form a branch of Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) It has proven a very successful organization and we were woundering if your PD uses volunteers to augument law enforcement services in Dracut? We would be happy to volunteer when we locate in a couple of months
