Chefs in shorts Friday

What's wrong with chefs in the 978 that they are not competing in Chefs in Shorts tomorrow @ the Seaport Hotel? Perhaps they don't have nice enough gams? What I like about this outdoor grilling event is that unknown chefs have come to the forefront this year. Old standbys like Olives, Turners Fisheries, Grafton Street, Sel de la Terre are all part of this chowdown, but chefs Joseph Brenner, Chris Masco, Pat Lee and Louis DiBiccari are not the bold-faced named celebs we've choked on ad nauseum. And lest you think this is just a Beantown throwdown, Tony DeRienzo of the Waterfront Grille in New Bedford struts his stuff from 7- 9:30p, $60, tix include beer and wine, more here .
