Hola Amigos!

margarita.jpg The early summer weather puts us in the mind for Ba, na, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba ba ... “Tequila!”
Amigos, a new Merrimack N.H. Mexicano eatery wants to be your Cinco de Mayo HQ. Opening several weeks ago on the Danny Web, this festive spot serves 18 margaritas — the casa, made with Sauza blanc or gold tequila, triple sec, Jamaican lime juice, and a splash of sour is not to be missed I’m told. Pomegranate, espresso and mi amigo John go down nicely with inventive cuisine like Mexican mac and cheese, penne pasta. Ole! Deal Steal: $4.99 house margaritas between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. everyday.

In other May 5 news, the Mambo Grill’s tequila bar is now open. That’s 17 tequilas that can be blended with pomegranate, coconut and sour apple mix. Once again another cocktail falls victim to martini-itis. This is when the drink formerly known as margarita gets gussied up like a red light district worker. Funny to think you could saunter into the Merrimack Street taco house and down a shot of cactus juice at lunch. Anyone tried ‘em? Who pours your favorite rita in the 978?

I'm absolutely, positively, thrilled that there will be 17 tequilas to choose from at Mambo on Cinco de Mayo. I can see that my usual Folk Fest Mambo Margarita might just turn into 2 or 3. This is the kind of news that puts a tequila lover in a wonderful mood....ok, so the C's pulling out a win last night helps too! Thanks!

I love margaritas, i love the celtics, and i love ruby. You know who makes really really good margaritas?? Tommy at the dubliner. No kidding the margaritas there are faaantaaastic, almost as good as their food

Gobbo...I think you just made me *blush*.

Seriously? The Dub? Really, really good margaritas...Great tip! I'm going to have to go to the Dub this weekend to check this out, I had no idea!

Go C's!
