A feast up north

Restaurant Weeks have become like Twitter. The concept isn't fading anytime soon, so you might as well give in. Next week it's Nashua 's turn. The Gate City launches its first Spring Feast Week April Fools through April 7. The difference? Like Priceline, proprietors can set their own deals. Saffron Bistro, high on the yum scale, lays down a 25 percent pre fixe dins, and Peddlers Daughter, best chippers this side of Sligo, lops 20 percent off lunch and dins. Im in. There's also a tapas place called Stella Blu on the list. Anyone been? Lowell's sister city raises the stakes higher w/ a beer tasting. Those Granite Staters really do live free. Tastings take place nightly at a different spot. Three cheers for the N of H. more here

Very cool, I'll try to check that out. I haven't made it to Saffron Bistro yet.

I personally think the best deals are at Michael Timothy's and Surf ($20.09). But I imagine they'll be busy or booked, so act quickly.

I also like Black Orchid for dinner and Fody's for music (weekends after 10pm). Stella Blu is in the old Manhattan on Pearl; similar menu to MoP, of course.

Maybe try to hit the beer tasting times also, if you go.

I am helpless in the face of a beer tasting...

Yes, I've been to Stella Blu - took place of the former Manhattan on Pearl. The tapas/martini bar is delicious, and the service was really outstanding. I think it's pretty cool that Stella is having customers help choose their spring menu during feast week. Should be a good week, loaded with great deals!
