A new slice of Brazil

From the ashes of Rios, Tabocas, a new Brazilian grill house, is about to rise in DTL. The ethnic eatery will open next month promising rotisserie meats, grilled fish and sushi in a beautifully renovated space. The owners, who also run the successful Oasis Grill on Gorham Street, have been working like fiends to get this restaurant up and running. brazil.jpg
This place used to be a tired cafeteria that felt like a holding pen for forlorn Brazilians. The sorry group would shovel grub unintentionably while staring zombie-like at the booming tele.
If the food is as professionally turned out as the decor, we are in for a good time. GG had a tour last week from a friendly manager named Junior. No it wasn't W., thankfully. The downstairs lounge has been redone in granite and rock. Food will be served in the subterranean space and in the summer the deck overlooking the Concord River will be in play. It may be located on a hectic stretch of Andover Street, but don’t count Tabocas out. There is ample parking and it’s easily walkable from DTL. I'm excited about another BBQ joint in town. But I think they should rethink the sushi.

I LOVE THE OASIS GRILL! Talk about getting a lot of food for your buck. I'm excited to try the new place. I wonder if it will be the same food as Oasis or a more modern twist to the usual brazilian fare.

I hate to be doom and gloom but a soup kitchen would seem more appropriate in this economy.

Yours truly,

There's a very popular Brazillian Steak & Sushi place on rt 9 in Framingham, so maybe it'll be a winning combination on the shores of the Concord too.

Actually, when the Concord River Trail is completed, that riverside deck just might become THE place to stop for a bite.

had lunch at Tabocas 12/20 a very nice dinning room. The food and the staff were wonderfull. i would recomend anyone to try it!
