Great balls of flavor

Capellini.jpg There’s so much happening on the local food scene right now, where to start? How about with rice balls. Capellini’s, 896 Main St, Tewksbury, rolls succulent orbs of risotto and four cheeses and dips them into the deep fryolater to stunning results. This is a sensation you have to try to believe. I tucked a tine into these lovelies earlier this week and was immediately transported to the narrow streets of Sicily (only the food wasn’t this good in the rustic cafes of Palermo, no, no.). This freestanding ristorante in Tewks serves uncommonly authentic fare like this arroncini app. But what makes this dish shatter is the Bolognese sauce used as condiment. Known as meat sauce, this succulent red sauce imparts a wholesome smooth finish in the hands of Jason Dubay. If you haven’t tried Capellini’s, you owe it to yourself to take a trip down Route 38 and grab it by the balls.

Speaking of Italian...We went to Capri In Salisbury beach tonight. It opened this summer (used to be a a sports bar). Absolutely delicious. Food was authentic Italian and prices were very reasonable. Service was above par. Try it when up North.

Music to my ears: Frying, Cheese, Risotto!

I love Capellini's and am so looking forward to trying this delish dish. I've only ever seen these on the food network...now I get to actually eat it and not just lick the TV set.
