LFF countdown

Gourmet Gal is on a two-day break so I can rest up for the Lowell Folk Fest this weekend. So come back on Saturday for live reviews/reports/slings/arrows of the ethnic grub served at JFK Plaza, Dutton St Dance Pav. and along Boarding House Park. Going from food booth to food booth?
I'd love to hear about your moveable feast morsels. Last year was my maiden voyage with the loshkeebab (Armenian Relief Society). Let's just say I'm no longer down with lamb. They are cute at Easter and all (preferably in a dark chocolate mold), but not in my bun please. What's the strangest thing you're eating this wkened?
Tip: One of my favorite places to dodge the festival fray at night is the back patio at Friends. I shouldn't give away my secret, but hey, I like you. The Portuguese rest. is on Market across from the Southeast Asian. Order flamed chorizo and vino verde.

Thanks for the tip, I've been eye-balling that place for months but couldn't quite tell if it was an actual restaraunt or a glorified bar. I'll check it out sometime now for sure!

Hi,

I was thrilled to discover your blog, but I seem to be having some trouble. I don't live in Lowell so I was trying to find information (directions, hours, menus, etc.) about some of the places you've mentioned, but I've come up with nothing for any of the following:

Los Criollos
A and H African Restaurant
C'est
C'est Wine, Say Cheese
Jessie's Place (hoped to learn what it was going to be--another bakery?)
Secrets

I've done every search I can think of, checked yellow/white pages, Lowell listings, and even a telephone book (the paper kind!). All I found were hair salons and links back to your blog. I'm especially interested in the wine and cheese shops that were going to carry artisanal breads. Can you help me find these (after the Lowell Fest., of course)? Thanks very much.

Peter: Definitely hit up Friends. They have really good food, and like GG mentioned, they have a nice patio to take advantage our brief dining al fresco season.

Thanks Randy, I definately shall.
