Okay, we've got a Miami heat wave going and I couldn't let the last post of pho rule this blog another sweaty second. Ahhh, that's better. I found a few cool spots for you to escape today if you're headed into the city (like I am) for the Miracle on Causeway St. Go Green! The Roof Top Pool at the Colonnade is not just for hotel guest. Slap down a few teners (three) and crack out your suits, cuz water is what it's all about today. Enjoy a Caesar salad, a pina colada and forget about it all. With a sick-air warning in effect, today is all about destressing and keeping it on the DL. Banish all thoughts of calories or recessions. You'll lose/gain again when the mercury takes a nosedive. Other good rooftop spots are Ristorante Fiore in the North End on Hanover St., steps from the Gahden, and the Rattlesnake Bar on Boylston (great margs). Also the Cask and Flagons' new rooftop bar on Lansdowne is ground zero for Sox game refreshments.
Any other spots on high? How are you deliciously escaping the heat? Ive been on a non-stop ice coffee drip since mid-day yest. I hope to find some quality gelato in the NE when I head in shortly. Im craving grapefruit gelato, if it exists. Where can one cop a great scoop in Mini Milano? Fodder for tomorrow's post. Keep those AC's cranked and let's Beat L.A. while we beat the heat!
