Chilling at the egg roll

With a bento box to my left and a peach bubble tea (sans those annoying pearls) to my right. Umm. Talk is of boyfriends, finals and summer internships. I must be in a college bar. It's not actually a bar, althought they do have $3 sam adams (good deal). In the shadow of Zoo-Mass, The Egg Roll is a fun hideout. Swanky jazz on the radio and any kind of roll you can fathom, these college kids got it good. I never had such a cool place to hang when I was 19 and living in Marietta, Ohio. There is a perverse pleasure that comes when eating the chix lettuce wrap here. Using your hands instead of utensils is liberating and primal. Try the EC in June when the rugrats will be back on Long Island, or Dracut. Located on University Ave near Gardner Ave.

This place is great. I've had the bento and several eggrolls, including the desert ones - the apple eggroll is too good.

The guys who run it are real friendly as well. we were playing a show here, and after we played we ordered our dinner. One of the guys talked to us for 15 minutes or so. Before we left they brought out a complimentary order of the samosa eggrolls to take home w/ us. Heated them up in the oven the next day - delicious.

Just had lunch from EC, very nice! The spinach feta egg rolls were to die for. I tried the tofu bento. The tofu was great, the edamame salty and wonderful, the salad left something to be desired, yellowy iceberg lettuce doesn't do much for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was ready in just a few minutes. Big thumbs up!

Something to chew on:

Is it really still bubble tea, or "boba tea" as they say on the West Coast, if you order it without the tappioca balls?
