Local boy spends 'Evening' with late actress

It was a role of a lifetime for David Robson of Tyngsboro. In 2006, the then 10-year-old landed a part in a feature film playing the son of the late Natasha Richardson and grandson of Richardson’s real-life mother, Vanessa Redgrave.

The local boy met both Richardson and Redgrave on the set of Evening in Rhode Island. He would have never guessed it would be the last time he would ever work with the star.

Richardson, a Tony award winning actress and wife of Liam Neeson, died on Wednesday evening after falling on a ski slope at a resort in Quebec. The 45-year-old died of blunt impact to the head according to the New York City medical examiner’s office, who conducted an autopsy yesterday.

In an interview with The Sun shortly after wrapping the film, Robson’s mother, Sue, had very kind words for Richardson.

“Natasha was great with the kids. The whole experience was very nice,” Sue Robson was quoted as saying.

Evening was Richardson’s second to last film she ever starred in.

Another former child star, Lindsay Lohan, worked with Richardson on a remake of The Parent Trap in 1998. She also had very nice things to say about the actress.

“She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own. ... My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss,” said Lohan
