Actress Winona Ryder was briefly hospitalized after falling ill on a flight to London’s Heathrow Airport Wednesday, her publicist said. Mara Buxbaum said the 37-year-old was taken to a west London hospital Wednesday “as a precaution” and had since been released.
“She’s fine now,” Buxbaum said. She declined to go into details of Ryder’s illness.
Hmmm...sounds like we are entering the spin zone. "Falling ill" is PR talk for something else.
British Airways said a flight from Los Angeles to Heathrow requested priority landing after a female passenger “required medical attention” and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Ryder has mostly stayed out of the headlines after her 2002 conviction for stealing several thousand dollars worth of merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue store in Beverly Hills. She had prescription drugs in her possession when she was arrested — but a drug charge was dropped after a doctor said he had prescribed the medication.
Maybe she popped a Xanax before boarding her flight. Any thoughts?

One thing the public never forgets is how to hit um when they are down! A wonderfully talented actress like her is caught when she most probably was very emotionally off center
as much as the rest of us have been but as for me I really miss her very much and wish she would get some great character to play so she could show us what she had done for years. When you are that beautiful and that talented I really hope she will make a big comeback. Look what Ironman did for R.D.JR.
It is not at all the kind of thing I read that was said above nice in any way. It was the worse take on her personal life again & in it seems the public is not so forgiving but should be as in caring since the remarks come out as if they know this woman personally.I was so glad Keira Knightly became a star as she reminds me of her. So I did not have to miss her as much.In the few roles since what seems to be still an issue in the publics mind she has become more beautiful with age and she is greatly talented so I hope she does come back to more main stream for us die hard fans. But if not I hope she finds happiness in what ever
is keeping her from it and I mean what other interests she has because one with such talent
most certainly needs an outlet for all her talents.I wish I had her eyelashes!!!!!! WOW!
And as a big fan of all her past work I would love to see her come back in a big way. If not I wish her all the best in her other endeavors. A True Fan Forever!
