As reported in The Sun today, scouts for the Micky Ward bio-pic "The Fighter" were in Lowell over the weekend.

The Mill City boxing legend is said to be played by actor Mark Wahlberg. The part of Ward's brother Dickie Eklund has been under much speculation with Brad Pitt and Matt Damon rumored to be interested in the role.

The scout was taking pictures in two bars in Cupples Square that are known hang outs of the two brothers. Captain John's, The Highland Tap and Arthur Ramalho's West End Gym were all visited by location scouts.
