Actress Jennifer Garner met Ricky Gervais at La Boniche in downtown Lowell for a lunch date today. No need to call Us Weekly, Garner was not secretly meeting with the Brit comedian behind her hubby Ben Affleck’s back.

Jen is in town to play the love interest of Gervais in his new movie This Side of the Truth. The French bistro was taken over by the stars and crew for the day in what is called a “key scene.”

In between takes Garner joked with the extras who were seated at tables scattered about the restaurant asking if they were getting bored yet.

Crew were also in the main dining room of Cobblestones around the corner all day today setting it up for tomorrow's takes. Garner and Gervais will film another date scene and the eatery will remain closed on Tuesday.
