Fixing "24"
This season of “24” jumped way over the shark. In fact, it’s still in the air, clearing entire continents. Enough of my complaining though — with exactly 251 days until Christmas — I offer an early gift to the show’s executives — here’s how to make next season a lot better:
1. Location, location, location. It’s time to switch all the action from Los Angeles to another major city. How about New York, Boston, Philly or Chicago?
2. Nix all of the love interest subplots. No one likes them and they drag the pace of the show.
3. Be a little bit more realistic. We know…we know. We know we have to suspend reality to enjoy the show, but how about making the plot more believable?
4. Bring back Elisha Cuthbert, who plays Jack’s daughter. Hey, she’s worth looking at. Don’t believe me? Check out the picture.
5. No more Palmers in office! Let’s leave the family alone. Whole new president. Whole new cabinet.
6. Enough of the leaks and double agents. Terrorists operate fine without them, and it’s hard to believe there are double-crossing officials so close to an American President or in the military.
7. New enemies. Why not try North Korea or Iran?
8. This is not “The West Wing,” so cut out most of the political babble.
9. Tinker with the timeframe. Instead of 24 hours (one hour per episode), make each episode one day long. “24 Days.” I like the sound of that.
10. Instead of terrorist attacks, how about a full-blown war? How does Jack operate in that environment?
Have a suggestion of your own? Leave a comment, dude.

Some more suggestions:
Bring back Tony Almeida!!! The death of a major character on 24 (or something really shocking) is usually followed by the silent countdown when they go to commercials; however, when Tony "died," there was no such countdowns, which leads me to believe there may be hope for a comeback. Jack only trusts two people: Chloe (although she recently just betrayed him, kinda) and Tony. Jack needs a friend, especially with the state of his life right now. Plus, the duo of Tony and Jack was awesome, and I don't think Tony took away from the "badassness" of Jack; Jack is still the king of the show even with Tony. With so many characters leaving the show and new ones entering, I need an old face that will bring me back to how the old seasons of 24 used to be. Oh, and how about going to a foreign country? That could be an interesting change of setting.
This season of 24 is good, and the only reason we are criticizing it is because the past seasons have been great and we expect it to continually get better.
Best show on TV. Period.

24 DAYS? No way. Leave the hours alone. But going along with the whole realistic deal, it really isn't too realistic that Jack Bauer would be able to save the world and do all the things CTU does in 24 hours, so I see where you're coming from. Good idea about North Korea and Iran. I like that, but not a war. Change of city is a must. Why would CTU be in LA anyway? It would make waaaaay more sense if it were somewhere close to DC. I say Boston. Let Jack deal with people who give him lip (I expect more killings haha.) I completely agree about the love stories. I have a feeling this new story line about Jack saving Audrey is going to go sour real fast. I want action, suspense, and lots of killing! haha. See ya lataaaa.

how bout they stop saying, within the hour...
"the bomb will go off within the hour, they will have their decision within the hour, the sub will be able to launch within the hour"
we know the show is an hour long
