Timing is Everything
Alright, so we're all from New England here, or at least most of us are, so the storm that's on the way tomorrow morning isn't exactly going to be a killer.
Alan Dunham, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Taunton, says Greater Lowell can expect a mere 1 to 3 inches of snow, a prediction you can see reflected here in a map the Weather Service will be updating throughout the night.

But, Dunham says that snow is going to fall between roughly 4 and 7 a.m., then turn to freezing rain, sleet, and then rain, all in fairly rapid succession.
What time do you drive to work in the morning?
If you want the advice of the Massachusetts State Police, leave early on Wednesday morning.
Dunham said that even though snowfall totals might not be huge, the flakes will be coming down pretty fast during the morning commute, possibly at a rate of an inch an hour, and that's not fun to drive in.
If you download the Word document I've hosted here, you'll get a pretty good list of winter driving tips from the state police.
Good luck out there.
