    Snow Parking Ban in Lowell

    Deputy Police Superintendent Arthur H. Ryan Jr. has declared a "No Parking Snow Emergency Ban" for the city of Lowell on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 11:00 P.M. The ban shall be effective six hours later at 5:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009.

    There shall be no parking on city streets from 5:00 A.M. until the ban is lifted. Motor vehicles parking in violation of the ban are subject to being towed at the owner's expense. Motor vehicles in violation will also receive a parking violation ticket.

    During the duration of the ban, free parking for city residents who do not have access to "off-street" parking will be available at the George Ayotte Parking Facility near the Lowell Post Office.

    ya im gonna walk back allll the way from post office free parking garage to south lowell these plow drivers almost killed me last year when i was walking back just from the $8 parking at the train station!!! this city is whacked out of its mind we need another director to figure out a way to plow one section at a time so that we don't need a city wide parking ban not to mention my son went to school this morning only to have to walk back on the unplowed streets since there are no sidewalk hopefully he will be ok!!!
