Lowell bans on-street parking starting Tuesday
A no parking snow emergency ban has been issued for the city beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The ban goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday.
Parking will not be allowed on the streets until the ban is lifted, which comes at the discretion of Police Superintendent Kenneth Lavallee.
Cars that are parked in violation of the ban will be towed at the owners’ expense. Owners will also receive a parking violation ticket.
Free parking for city residents who do not have access to off-street parking during the snow emergency no parking ban is available at the George Ayotte Parking Facility near the Tsongas Arena.
