KEEP BOTH BRIDGES: If you've already got a temporary bridge, and they're fixing the old bridge, why wouldn't you keep two bridges? There's a lot of traffic over the Tyngsboro bridge. Seems like a waste of money taking the other one down.
Tewksbury
BEST WISHES: Congratulations to Police Superintendent Ken Lavallee. The city of Lowell will be a better place for it.
Lowell
EQUAL TREATMENT: If the Lowell Memorial Auditorium is used for one political party, it should be used for the other -- equal time. I just hope someone is paying the bill.
Ayer
OBEY RULES: Cemetery regulations are in place for a reason. When the woman and her fiancé erected a 20-foot flagpole in the Billerica cemetery, it's just another example of how people in our society think rules are made for everyone except for them. This is a waste of court time and taxpayers' money.
Tyngsboro
THANK YOU: I wanted to send a thank you along to Gunther. the city employee who always responds quickly when called to take care of dumping in the neighborhood.
Lowell
NO INSURANCE: We have a crisis going on in Chelmsford. The schools need money, they want to close fire stations, yet we have four upright citizens for whom we have to pay insurance. They make enough money in their private jobs to pay for it themselves.
Chelmsford
ARTIFICIAL TURF: Now would be a great time for Dracut to look into an artificial field at the high school. Replace the field that's there so it can be used 24 hours a day. The maintenance costs are much lower and the added usage would take care of all the scheduling problems. Dracut refuses to come out of the Dark Ages.

DRESSING DOWN: The Style section in the Sun is a perfect example of how low our ideals of proper dress have shrunk. Blue jeans used to be a mark of poverty; today there is no distinction. Any pair of blue jeans will do for any occasion.
Lowell
POWER FAILURE: Why is it that certain parts of North Chelmsford get momentary power outages between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. almost every Sunday? Something strange is going on.
North Chelmsford
MONEY MATTERS: I agree with the person who wrote in and said we should not have "In God We Trust" engraved in our coins. I think we should engrave "In Gold We Trust."
