We've managed to raise $940 to date for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank!
When we dreamed up the idea of local musicians playing Christmas songs all night long we weren't sure if people would want to be involved... well, THEY DID and it turned out to be a great night!
Thank you to all of the performers, helpers and especially the donors who made the night such a fantastic experience!
I never knew The Worthen could hold that many people...
Happy Holidays,
Tex
Just got word from Tex MacNamara that $865.00 was raised for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Heartwarming!
Hope this becomes an annual event. Thanks Tex for being such a gracious host and for coordinating such a wonderful night of music.
What a great evening!!! Melvern Taylor's "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer", (as in, "You mean you guys have been playing Christmas music all night long and nobody has played Rudolf the f***ing Red Nosed Reindeer?"), was just the last one of so many great ones. That is, if you're not counting everyone in the entire place being up on the stage with Tex McNamara singing Jingle Bells, "We Are The World"-style. (Which, by the way of coincidence, was also another one of the eclectic mix of songs featured throughout the night). Too many others to mention, too.
I'm framing the poster, because you can't get it any better than this.
Merry Christmas, Lowell!!!
